3 Matcha Ice-Cream Spots I Love in Geneva
There’s something about matcha that makes every summer moment feel a little more special. From its vibrant green colour to its delicate balance of earthy and creamy flavours, matcha has become one of my favourite ways to enjoy a sweet treat in Geneva.
If you’re looking for a good matcha ice cream this season, these are three places I personally love — each with its own personality, atmosphere, and take on this increasingly popular flavour.
My Love for Matcha Ice Cream
For me, matcha ice cream is the perfect combination of refreshing and indulgent. I love when the matcha flavour is present without being overpowering, with just the right balance between its slightly bitter, earthy notes and the creaminess of the ice cream.
There are several places in Geneva where you can enjoy it, but Gelato Mania, Maison Loulou, and La Gelosa are three of my personal favourites.

Maison Loulou
Maison Loulou is another Geneva spot I love for a matcha ice-cream moment.
There’s something about enjoying matcha here that feels particularly fitting for a relaxed afternoon in the city. Whether I’m meeting a friend, taking a break during the day, or simply treating myself, it’s a place I enjoy coming back to.
I love the balance between the creamy texture and the distinctive character of matcha. It feels both comforting and refined, which is exactly what I look for in a good dessert.
La Gelosa
La Gelosa is also one of my go-to places when I’m in the mood for matcha ice cream.
I particularly enjoy the combination of a traditional Italian gelateria atmosphere with a flavour that has become such a favourite among matcha lovers.
For me, the appeal is in that contrast: the classic feeling of an Italian gelateria paired with the earthy, slightly bitter notes of matcha.
