5 Places I Love That Are Open on Sundays & Non-Stop in Geneva

One of the questions I get the most as a Geneva-based foodie is:

“Where can I eat on a Sunday… or during those random in-between hours when everything is closed?”

Let’s be honest — Geneva is beautiful, but it can be tricky when you’re hungry on a Sunday afternoon or looking for a meal at 3:30 PM. That’s why I’ve put together this little list of my go-to spots that are open on Sundays and serve non-stop — whether you want brunch, burgers, or something a bit more unique.

Here are 5 places I genuinely love — I go back to them again and again, and they’ve saved me more than once from a sad vending machine snack.

1. Marcel Café – Eaux-Vives & Old Town

Marcel is a total lifesaver for stylish weekend brunching. Whether I’m in the mood for their fluffy pancakes with berries and mascarpone, or something more savory like their eggs benedict with salmon, this place never disappoints.

Their menu is super brunch-forward but runs all day — even through that 3–6 PM window when the rest of Geneva seems to pause. I love the aesthetic too: modern, fresh, and perfect for catching up with friends or working solo with a flat white.

Bonus? Both locations are open Sundays. Try to grab a seat on the terrace in Eaux-Vives when it’s sunny.

Livingeneva Tip: Order the truffle fries — even if it’s 10 AM. No judgment here.

2. Au Pied du Cochon

A true Geneva institution, Au Pied du Cochon is your place if you’re craving something authentic, hearty, and French. I love coming here on Sunday evenings when I want a warm atmosphere and something indulgent like their onion soup, steak frites, or — of course — cochon.

This is not a trendy place, and that’s what makes it so good. It feels timeless, like Geneva’s answer to a classic Parisian brasserie.

And yes — non-stop kitchen and Sunday opening makes this spot a hidden gem for those “I’m starving and everything’s closed” moments.

Livingeneva Tip: Come with an appetite and order the tarte Tatin for dessert. Thank me later.

3. Black Tap – Gourmet Burgers & Crazy Shakes

If you’ve got a craving for a proper American-style burger or a totally Instagram-worthy milkshake, look no further than Black Tap.

This is one of Geneva’s top dining spots for comfort food, and the fact that it’s open all day and on Sundays makes it even better.

Their Truffle Burger is my personal favorite — juicy, rich, and so satisfying. And if you're in the mood for something sweet, you can’t miss their famous crazy shakes topped with everything from cotton candy to entire slices of cake (not joking).

Livingeneva Tip: Share the shake unless you’re in full sugar-craving mode — they’re massive!

4. Parfums de Beyrouth – Lebanese Street Food Staple

No Geneva foodie list would be complete without Parfums de Beyrouth. This place is a total hidden gem, and easily one of the best restaurants in Geneva for delicious, affordable Lebanese food — open every single day, non-stop.

The vibe is casual, fast, and no-fuss, but the food? Incredible. Their shawarma wraps, falafel plates, and creamy hummus are all go-tos for me when I want something quick but still full of flavor.

You’ll find a mix of students, office workers, and local foodies lining up here — it’s that kind of place.

Livingeneva Tip: Grab a wrap and head to Parc des Bastions for an impromptu picnic.

Final Thoughts: Sunday Saved

These are the places I keep coming back to — not just because they’re open when others aren’t, but because they genuinely serve great food in great environments.

So the next time you're wandering around on a lazy Sunday or find yourself hangry at 4:15 PM, now you know exactly where to go.

Enjoy, and let me know if you try any of them — I love hearing your foodie stories!

With love & (non-stop) bites,
Diana
